Isle Royale National Park

This area is beautiful but very expensive. You can visit the park by boat only and it costs between $126 and $136 per person for the round trip. Depending on where you start from it can take either three hours or six one way. When you get there you can hike around the island but not do much else. No dogs are allowed and no motorized vehicles.

To get your pass book stamped visit Copper Harbor as we did. The park staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. We actually camped in Hancock MI. at the state campground which was great. The price is $20 for a space with electric only or $22 with electric and water. The spaces are assigned to you depending on the length of your vehicle. It’s right near the water which Tory loved. She practically dragged me there every day to play with her float toy.

Have you taken the boat ride to Lake Royale? If so please let us know what you thought about it.
